As you all know I’m on maternity leave at the moment. It’s a lovely time to bond with baby but it can also get a bit quiet around the house now and then . No longer.. I have a My VQ radio of my own. You may remember Bertie got sent the Emma Bridgewater Kids radio a few months ago.. you can read about it here. Well I have been sneaking it downstairs for myself at any opportunity, as its such a lovely change listening to the radio instead of the usual TV in the afternoons. The problem with Bertie’s ‘Men at work’ radio was that it didn’t quite go with the downstairs decor so to say.
I was therefore delighted to get the opportunity to review the Hepburn VQ.. and best of all the Emma Bridgewater pink hearts range. Whilst it does have an old time look don’t be fooled.. this little beauty is DAB , FM and also has the addition of Bluetooth connectivity, delivering the perfect combination of vintage looks and modern functionality.
The Hepburn comes in 18 different colours, 6 of which are Emma Bridgewater patterns so there is one sure to be suitable with any interior scheme. It also comes with a battery pack which offers an impressive 25 hours of play time. Perfect for the garden, summer outings or parties… if the weather allows it that is.
I’m not the most technical and I usually leave that up to my husband but this radio is so easy. not only does I’m immediately find all the channels for you but it displays their names on the screen too so you can easily find what your looking for. DAB opens up a new world of radio.. there are more channels than you could ever have imagined and the VQ lets you save your favourite stations and easily scan for others.
It’s honestly a joy to have in our home, not just because its lovely to listen to the radio throughout our day but also because its such a beautiful feature to have sitting in our home.
The Hepburn Mk II DAB starts from £129.99 for their standard colours and for the Emma Bridgewater of Lu Lu Guiness range are £159.99 . They are available to purchase via the VQ website here.
