Everyone always talks about ‘ babies first Christmas’. Yes its a special one, but for me this year is even more exciting. Bertie will be three in February and this is the first year he really understands Christmas.. the excitement is amazing!
I am a massive Christmas fan and we usually have two trees. One in the front room which is our ‘ good tree’ and one in our kitchen/living area which is our ‘fun tree’ with touchable decorations, crafts and lots of colour.
With the excitement at a hight this year I thought I would add a little more magic to Bertie’s bedroom with his own little Christmas corner.
Cable and cotton is a name you will have seen before on my pages, I always rely on them when I’m decorating . See our Halloween display here. I love their range of lights and the fact you can design from their huge colour range for a totally bespoke look. On this occasion I went with the colours of Bertie’s room. Dusty blue, Turquoise, Sapphire Blue, Pale Grey, Prussian blue and pebble grey.
I popped a little mini tree on his storage shelves decorated with some mini blue baubles and fairy lights and wrapped the base pot with some extra fabric I had from his curtains ( I love matching if you new around here).
I love the versatility of Cable & Cotton lights, hanging on a mantle, above a shelf along a sideboard, they can be moved anywhere for different styles. I popped them on to Bertie’s tree for an alternative look and doesn’t it look fab. Im now tempted to decorate our kitchen/living room tree in candy colour cable and cotton lights instead of fairy lights.
Bertie eyes lit up when he seen his little Christmas room. Christmas is a magical time of the year, I hope this has inspired you to spread the magic throughout your whole home this Christmas and perhaps add some beautiful Cable & Cotton lights to your displays.
