It was a big one this year- The big 30!
Usually all the excitement starts in December in our house but with a milestone birthday and lots of celebrations and trips, its been a very exciting winter indeed.. with a few very impressive wardrobe additions. Boden, naturally!!
First up was a little trip to London with my Mum, lots of eating, shopping and walking .
Next on the itenary was an afternoon tea with the girls and a little male addition -baby George. Aren’t they fab at this age when you can take them anywhere and they don’t cause complete mayhem and mass destruction that comes with the toddler years?
I can’t remember the last time I had an actual Birthday party.. I must have been in my teens. We gathered family together and headed for a Sunday carvery with lots of cake and laughs.
Chris and I headed off to Ashford Castle for two nights as my main Birthday present from him. We don’t get much time ‘just us’ so it was lovely to get a few luxurious nights away ( and full nights sleep)
They had a Landrover Heritage defender to take you on tours of the estate.. I had to give it a go myself.. If its good enough for her Majesty , its good enough for me! ( athough it drove like a tractor and yes i’m speaking from tractor driving experience )
Returning home the party was not over.. as Christmas is just a matter of weeks away. Down came the balloons and Birthday cards and out came the Christmas decorations!!
You know im wreath mad.. If you follow me on instagram you will know I post endless creations on my front door. I decided to mix it up a bit this Christmas and make a jumbo wreath for inside the house. What do you think?
Just as it couldn’t get any more exciting around here, the snow came out. It was Bertie’s first time seeing it and we made the most of it , goodness knows when it will be back.
Christmas Pyjamas here
Heres to an exciting final build up to Christmas… Goodness knows what else will be around the corner before the BIG MAN makes his appearance! HO HO HO
